Racibórz Dolny Reservoir
Racibórz Dolny
The project involved the Racibórz Dolny Reservoir, the largest hydrotechnical structure in Poland, serving as a key flood protection measure for the Odra River basin. This dry reservoir (polder) covers an area of 26.3 km² and has a capacity of 185 million m³, protecting cities such as Racibórz, Opole, and Wrocław from flooding. The scope of work included the construction of massive earth embankments over 20 km long, discharge structures, and advanced infrastructure for controlling floodwater flow. It is a strategic investment for the hydrological safety of south-western Poland.
